He knows your needs

Share
He knows your needs. He knows how to bring it to you. But the trouble of it is, because it don't come the way you think it ought to come, then you're all discouraged, and you hand it back to Him. Let's ask Him, and believe that He will send it just the way He wants to send it. And accept it upon the basis. That's right. See? If you ask Him, don't make Him a liar. He can't lie. He promised, "Ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it." Now, God can't lie. Ask Him and it shall be done. "Seek, ye shall find; knock, it'll be opened." We believe that. Certainly we do.

It's the fruits of the Message

Share
Heavenly Father, they're coming by faith, through grace. There's about a dozen hands went up. It's the fruits of the Message. They come to You. They believe. I believe in them, too, Lord. I believe that, truly, the Holy Spirit spoke to them. And by faith they're coming right up Jacob's ladder now, right up to the foot of the cross, there laying down all their sins, and saying, "Lord, it's too much for me. I just can't bear it any longer. And will You take away my load of sin, and take the desire out of my heart to do so? And let me, by faith, this day, receive You as my personal Saviour. And from henceforth, I'll follow You every mile of the way, to the end of the journey. I catch a glimpse of what it means to 'go on to perfection,' not going into church, and the roots of dead works like baptisms and so forth. But I want to go on, until I can be no more, and Christ can live in me."

If it's the Truth, walk in It

Share
Listen here, men and women, now; my friends, and Christian friends. If the only thing that you know about, is just simply coming to church, you stop that right now. Stop just thinking you’re all right. If you got imaginary mind, “Well, I believe I am saved,” and you see that you’re always picking fusses, or you’re always griping about something, there is something wrong with you; if you see you just can’t keep enmity out of your heart, if you see there is something like that. “Don’t be deceived; God is not mocked.” That’s right. “Whatsoever a man soweth, so shall he reap.” That’s right. The thing for you to do… You say, “Well, I believe I got the Holy Ghost,” and you see it don’t bear fruit of meekness, and yielded, and—and kindness, and gentleness, and forgiveness, and so forth, then it’s time for you to shake out of yourself. “For if you sin wilfully, after you received the knowledge of the Truth, there remain no more sacrifice for sin,” till you come make that thing right. That’s right. If you know you’re doing wrong; walk right up just as humbly as you can, search it out. “Well,” you say, “I’ll look it up, some of these days.” “Some of these days” may be too long. You may not live “some of these days.” The thing to do is search it out right now. That’s right. Look at it and see if it’s right. And if it’s the Truth, walk in It, and God will bless you.

Everything you have need of in this journey is right in you now

Now, but that power that you have in you now could make a new world. God doesn't have little weak spots and big heavy spots that's powerful. The least little touch of God is omnipotent. See? The least little touch of God… So you know… So I'm trying to get you in the faith now. You know that something has happened to you as a Christian. Do you know it? You used to ride down yonder in the muck with all of the muck, and sin, and drinking, and gambling, and—and things of the world. Well, as soon as you believe that Christ forgive your sins, you raised up above that stuff. See? Now you're riding up here (see?) above all of it. Why? Because that you believe that you are a Christian. Then when you accepted Christ and the Holy Spirit came to you, then you have faith in the Holy Spirit to give you power to ride above that kind of a life of sin. Well now, the only thing you have to do to ride higher into healing is just have more faith, just keep pushing it out (See?), and there you are. Now, if you're sick and you're not a Christian, become a Christian right now so that that healing power will come in you by becoming a Christian, and that will give you faith to ride above sin; it'll give you faith. And everything that you have need of in this journey is right in you now. And the only thing you have to do is have faith in God that pushes that good things out of you, which is in you by the Holy Spirit.

It has to be working for your good

Share
We know by nature that it's darkest just before day. And many times when we see disastrous things happening like that, especially to believers, we must bear this in our mind, that it's Satan trying to block the blessing that's on its road. That was very much so in this case. Satan was trying to tempt them to feel that they had done wrong, and was trying to block the on coming visitation that God was going to give to Abraham and Sarah. And we're taught in the Scriptures, that all things work together for good to them that love God. And no matter how bad it seems, remember, it has to be working for your good. I'm so glad of that. Satan's been after me all day. So I just believe that there's a blessing in store here in this city, somewhere. And I know, when he tempts and tries to block out, what's he trying to do? Get you to disbelieve. And if you—the worst thing that you can do is disbelieve God. And as soon as you get a little scared, "Well, maybe I haven't done this and I haven't done that," right then, Satan's got that blessing conquered for you. You can't get to it as long as Satan makes you think that. And perhaps, if we would listen to such things of temptations like that, and would pay attention to them, then it would be that we would miss the blessing.

Watch what a refreshing will come

Share
And that's the way you'll be, or every believer that throws hisself, the outside, the—out of the outer courts, into the veil where Christ is, and hides your life away, you'll be refreshed, budded, blossomed, and bear fruits of the Spirit. Amen. You'll be a worker in your community. You'll be a soul winner for Jesus. You'll be a new person. Old things will pass away. Tradition of men will fail, but your heart will be burning with the love of God. Inside this place where they took this old rod and laid it there in the Presence of God… God living in the glory over the Cherubims, that rod all happened at once. And brother, sister, to a life that's consecrated and lays before God, it'll change them as certain as I'm standing at this platform tonight. It'll take all the fight out of you; it'll take all the difference out of you; it'll take all the—the isms out of you. It'll make you a real Christian if you'll just get into His Presence. Watch what taken place, a freshing, to be refreshed. Notice, the dew falls at nighttime. The world settles down. They active of nature through the day… the toils and the jumps, and the toils… But when everything quietens down, then what happens? The dew falls. Of a morning, did you ever get up real early, get out real early and smell that fresh air, how it is and how refreshing everything is? The dew has fell. Oh, brother, sister, if the only thing you know is go to church, if the only thing you know that you joined or was baptized, or something like that, why not hide your life away with Christ. Get alone in the quietness, away from the world and all of its cares, and settle down and watch what a refreshing will come.

They are allowed to go into Eternal Life

Share
To further clarify, notice specifically the words of Matthew 25:31-46. It does not say that a shepherd is literally separating sheep from goats, but it is AS a shepherd dividing sheep from goats. These are not sheep in this particular area of time (White Throne Judgment). The sheep are in His fold, they heard His voice (Word) and they followed Him. THEY ALREADY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE AND CANNOT COME INTO THE JUDGMENT. But these do NOT have eternal life, and they are in the judgment. They are allowed to GO INTO eternal life. But upon what grounds do they enter into life eternal? Certainly not upon the fact that they already have His life as does the bride, but they receive it because they were kind to His brethren. They are not His brethren: that would make them joint-heirs with Jesus. They are NOT heirs to anything but life. They share no throne, etc. with Him. THEIR NAMES MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE AND NOT REMOVED. Now because of their love of the people of God they are recognized and saved. No doubt these served and helped the children of God. Perhaps like Nicodemus and Gamaliel they stood for the children in a time of trouble.

As He loved us

Share

Jesus prayed that prayer that we might love one another as He loved us—as He loved us! And He loved us so much that He died for us. No one could love like that unless they—with the natural love, because it would not hold out. It won't express itself. It'll do as long as there's friendship connected with it. But when the friendships turn, then people begin to say, "Well, he did so-and-so. She did so-and-so. They backslid, they…" Real godly love goes after that backslider till it finds him. Godly love goes and stoops to the lowest of hell to pick up a man or a woman that's fallen.

That's what we're lacking today. We have a fine cultured church, educated, fine dressed, fine buildings, nice choirs, beautiful music, some of the best the world's ever had. But we are dying for some of that godly love.

What are you looking at this morning?

Share
Would you like to be remembered in prayer before I pray, raise your hand for any request, that you might have need of. God bless you. He sees all your hands. If you're a sinner, raise up your eyes and look now. If you've been indifferent, if you've had little squabbles and little things, what difference does it make. You're going to die one of these days. What day? Maybe today. You don't know; an hour from now you may be in hell or you may be in heaven. But you've got to choose now. If there's anything in your life that isn't right, you choose, now. By faith… You say, "Well, if I can just get even with her; if I can get even with him…" No matter what they've done, choose life. Choose life, for Jesus said, "If from your heart, you don't forgive every person their transgressions, neither does your heavenly Father forgive you." So just get that close. If there's one ought in your heart against any person, sinner or saint, you're in danger of hell fire. Now, lift up your eyes. What do you see, your enemy or do you see your Saviour? What are you looking at this morning? If you're sick and your doctor says that you can't get well, lift up your eyes to the cross, where He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we were healed. Don't look at what the doctor says; He's working in science. Faith works in the realm of spirit and God. Let us think of these things now, while you've raised your hands. God's seen them. Let us pray.

Don't give up

Share
It is in the midst of a time of great trouble that Jesus comes. And with His coming there is a resurrection. Many are to come forth out of the dust and rise with those who are alive but waiting for His return. And these will be given crowns. Why? Because they are Sons of God. They are kings with Him. They are reigning with Him. That is what the crown signifies—reigning and ruling with the Great King, Himself. That is the promise to all those who suffer with Him here on earth—all those who endured patiently knowing that God, the Just Judge would reward them. They who gave up all for Him and committed all to Him will sit down in His throne and share in His glorious kingdom. Oh, we have a word for us all at this time. It is hold fast— persevere. Don't give up. Put on the whole armour of God—use every weapon He has given us—use every gift at our disposal and look ahead with joy, because we are going to be crowned by Him Who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

There's only one way in the world that you can be healed

Share
Now, friends, there's only one way in the world that you can be healed, and that's only faith in God. Now, no matter how much that God will permit me, by my own faith, to take the spirit from you, unless you go forth and believe God, and serve God, and trust God, it'll come right back to you again. Did not Jesus say, "Go and sin no more, or a worse thing than this will come upon you?" Don't never come in a prayer line unless you expecting to serve God the rest of your days. That's right. Always, don't never live a sinful life, because you'll be worse, way worse. God has promised that you will be worse off than you was at the first time.

If you want to be a blessing

Share
If you want to be a blessing, and get a blessing, when a man has done you wrong, and he has absolutely justly, he… I mean he has done you wrong and you know that he's done you wrong; he's done you evil. Don't mention that; you take him to prayer before God. And don't take it in a way of just a selfish and say, "Well, I'm supposed to do this." But stand with your shoulder to his shoulder, and stand in the Presence of God our Father, way a prayer should be made in the Presence of God, say, "Father, here's my brother, and he—he is justly; he deserves punishment because he has—he's done me evil. And I don't see why he did it." Then let God go to talking to you. And you'll see maybe, what that man's been through. The devil has twisted him up somewhere and caused him to do that. Though he's absolutely wrong, before you leave the throne of God you'll be feeling sorry for that man. You'll be sympathizing with that brother. And when you get back down to where—earth again, you'll go over to that brother and shake his hand, 'cause you know what he's been through. You can't stand with a mortal in the Presence of God and condemn anybody, I don't believe, no, sir, even if he is a rank sinner. And what about a brother that has made a mistake? Though I say he's wrong. Sometimes he's accused wrong when he's not wrong. But if he is wrong, well, if we will take him to the throne of God, stand there shoulder-to-shoulder with our brother, knowing he's a mortal, and maybe his destination rests upon our attitude towards him, when we come back from the throne of God, we'll realize that we're every one guilty, and we all need help one from the other. And the best way to do is pray.

What did God do?

Share
And there had been a hundred and twenty temples that God had created, was ready for dedication, that had got all their unbelief beat out of them. And they gathered in the upper room, and waited for ten days, for dedicational service. Then when completely surrendered, God came down again in the Shekinah glory, and filled all the house where they were setting. What did God do? Like the ark dropping into its proper sockets for the message of that day, God dropped back into His proper channel; not into a denomination or into a building made with hands, but into the heart of men. He dropped in His place, for the last day, which said the prophet Joel. "It shall come to pass in the last days, I'll pour out My Shekinah upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall dream dreams. The old men shall see visions." God came to His resting place, where He finds rest. Not in a building, but in the heart of His people, He finds rest.

We got to come to one of those ends

When old Daddy Hay, the one he laughed at, when he got ready to die, about eight-five, ninety years old, he went to sleep. And all the children gathered in. His grown great-great-grandchildren gathered around the bed. He raised up. He had white whiskers, you know, a little rim of white hair around his head. What… Top of his head, bald. He wiggled his whisker, said, "Dear, bless my soul." Said, "You all thought old Daddy Hay was dead, didn't you?" He said, "Well, I can't die." Said, "I died years ago." Said, "I'm just going to meet the Lord Jesus." He said, "Oh, it's so great!" Said, "All you, my children, gather around the bed." He took, from the oldest to the youngest, by the hand, and blessed them. Then he said to his two oldest boys, said, "Raise me up." And they raised him up in bed. He couldn't hold his hand up. He was too feeble. He said to his other boy, said, "Raise my hand up." He raised his hands up, like that. He said, "Happy day, happy day, when Jesus washed my sins away. He taught me how to watch and pray, and live rejoicing every day." Bowed his head and was gone. Well, we got to come to one of those ends.

God wants a surrender

Share

You know, I—I—I'd like to have a church like that once. I'd like to have the privilege of telling them what I think about them, and what the Word says about them. Yeah. Why, if it took all day, just keep on preaching. See? God wants a complete surrender. Do you believe that? God wants a surrender. How can God show you realities before you surrender yourself to Him? You've got to surrender.

Listen. When you surrender all… You sing that song, "I surrender, I surrender all." What about them cigarettes? What about that dressing? What about that temper? What about them other things that goes with it? What about that little character you got? What about that little snoopy idea? What about that rebuking anybody that baptizes in the Name of Jesus?

All right, here was "voices." Oh, how we need in Jeffersonville thousands of lived voices, the thunder of God thundering out in sweetness and holiness, purity, undefiled lives, walking around in the earth today, without a blemish. Yes, sir, real Christians, that's thunder against the enemy. The devil don't care how loud you can holler; the devil don't care how much you can jump or how much you can do this or shout. But what hurts the devil is to see that sanctified, holy life consecrated to God; say anything to him, call him anything, just as sweet as it can be and move right on. Oh, my! That throws him away, that's the thunder that shakes the devil.

That same Holy Ghost is present this morning

Share

That's the trouble with the church. We can conquer every disease. We got the power in us. We are sons and daughters of God, nothing can stand before us. Only thing, He wants to find somebody who will believe it, who will believe what God's already done for you. "Not we will be; we are now." And the ever-living Presence of the Spirit is with us. Amen. There you are.

That's what I mean when I spoke of the subject this morning, "The Ever-Present Water From The Rock." The ever-present Water from the Rock is right here now, that ever-present Water from that smitten Rock at Calvary. When that Holy Ghost came out of Him on Calvary, that come back on the church on the day of Pentecost, that same Holy Ghost is present this morning. And It's give us a promise.

That's the reason, walking before the sick people, when He commissioned me yonder, I believe it; God said so. That's how visions happen; God promised it. God can't lie.

Believe it. You got to believe it. Got to be Something there open that damper, open that thing to let you in on it. What we need today is not pray for more power. You got enough power to make a new earth. What you need is faith to use that power. What you need is to control that life, and live such a godly life, that when you ask God anything, you know. We have confidence in God, of that. We know, if we keep His commandments, He'll withhold no good thing from us if we walk with Him. God walking with us. Oh, my.

Here's something to console us

Share
Here's something to console us. Here's something that encourages. Out of weakness and humility God chooses the people to build His Kingdom out of. If we ever get to heaven, if we ever stand in the Presence of God with His Church, we'll stand in a bunch of people that's been weak and rejected and cast out by the world, and know-it-nothings. Isn't it strange that God likened us to sheep? A sheep is the most helpless thing there is. There's nothing so insufficient of defense than the sheep. A rabbit can run; a squirrel can get in a tree; a dog can bite; a lion can tear; a horse can kick; a bird can fly; but a sheep stands helpless. That's the way God wants us. Realize that we are totally insufficient, then God takes that person and begins to mold Himself into that person: make his hands do what God would have hands to do, make his lips speak what God's lips would speak; because they're not his; they're God's. He begins to build a character, begins to take this weakness and to make His Own Self.

Don't question It, believe It

Share
God permitted Israel to take a law in Exodus the 19th chapter, when grace had already give them a prophet, Pillar of Fire, a sacrificed lamb, a delivering power, but they cried out for a law. It wasn't God's will, but it was injected because man wanted it. And he was cursed by the very law that he wanted. It's best to have God's will. That's what He taught us: "Thy will be done; Thy Kingdom come, Thine will be done." We must submit ourselves to His will and His Word. Don't question It, believe It. Don't try to find a way around It, just take It the way It is. So many wants to go around, get some other way. And when you do, you find yourself going on, you find God blessing you, but you're working in His permissive will and not in His perfect Divine will. He permits it, as I said, but He will not--He will not let it be His perfect will, but He'll make it work to honor and bless His perfect will.

God needs our soul

Blood was the one what brought us from the garden of Eden. In the blood cell is life." It was life, perverted life that brought us to death. It'll take that same blood cell breaking to bring us back to life again. This is a perverted life. And I want you to… Brethren, no matter how well you try to patch up, and how well you try to do this, and how clean you try to live, and how righteous you try to live, it'll never work. This life in the beginning was condemned by God. And it ain't to be patched up; it's to die and to be borned again. It's got to be a birth. There's no other way around it. See? Not be better, join church, quit your meanness, you can do all of that and still not have Eternal Life. See? You can join church; you can belong to a denomination; you can live just as straight as a die; those Pharisees did, and Jesus said, "You're of your father, the devil." See? We're trying to put it on works all the time, something we can do, something we can build, some… God don't need our buildings; God needs our soul.

Just one little thing off the cater, that's what the—our churches are listening to today. Always remember that

Share
We ought to honor one another, respect one another as brother, sister. And love one another with undying love. You say, "Well, I just can't." Well, just stay here a little longer, and then you will like people too. You'll love those who doesn't love you. That's really a good sign of Christianity: when you can, from your heart, love those who does not love you. Love the unloveable. Jesus said, "If you just do favors for those that do favors for you, well, the publicans do the same thing." But, see, you must be kind to those who are unkind to you; Do good for those that would do evil to you. Always remember that. Keep that before you, that God's watching you. Remember, God was good to you when you were evil to Him. "While you were yet sinners, Christ died for you."

God can visit you

Share
There's righteous people walking in all the Light of the Lord; that's the kind of a home that God can get into. Now, if you're serving all kinds of--of parties, and beer, and everything in your house, God will never visit you there. That's right. But if you've got a home that's cleaned up and living for God, with prayer and the Bible open, and a few tear stains on it, God can visit you. That's right. 'Cause you've opened up a channel that He can come to.

We all need help one from the other

And what about a brother that has made a mistake? Though I say he's wrong. Sometimes he's accused wrong when he's not wrong. But if he is wrong, well, if we will take him to the throne of God, stand there shoulder-to-shoulder with our brother, knowing he's a mortal, and maybe his destination rests upon our attitude towards him, when we come back from the throne of God, we'll realize that we're every one guilty, and we all need help one from the other. And the best way to do is pray.

Live close to Him

I'm reminded of a little Irish woman come across the sea here some time ago, and she was on her road over here. The jazz bands on the ship was all playing, you know, and going on. And after while there come a great storm, and they sent out SOS calls and so forth.

And the captain run down, he said, "Stop your playing a minute." Said, "We just received word from New York. If we can't hold out thirty minutes, we're going to the bottom of the sea." Said, "Change your music." Said, "All of you pray."

And everybody fell on their knees, and the bands begin to play "Nearer My God To Thee." And all of them begin to pray, and the ship rocking back and forth, and pitching through the waves. The little old Irish mother with a long dress on, long sleeves, and long hair, walked up-and-down was hollering, "Hallelujah. Hallelujah."

When they said, "Why don't you pray, woman?"

She said, "I'm already prayed up. I'm ready." That's right. Walk with Him; be ready.

55 So after while, they kept on, the captain come back and he said, "Lady, what's the matter with you?"

Said, "Oh, I'm so happy."

Said, "Did you understand what I said? If this ship don't hold out, if it holds out—won't hold out thirty minutes, we're going to the bottom of the sea."

She said, "I understood it. Hallelujah."

Said, "What do you mean by that, woman?"

Said, "I'm praising God."

Said, "And you going to the… might be in the bottom of the sea in fifteen minutes from now?"

Said, "Sure." Said, "I'm on my road from Ireland over to America to see my daughter. I haven't seen her for thirty years, and I'm on my road to see my daughter in America." And she said, "If the boat holds out thirty minutes, I'll see her in America." And said, "If it don't hold out, I got one in glory. I'll see one of them in the next thirty minutes. Hallelujah."

That's it. Prayed up, walking with Him, you don't know what time a squeak of brakes, and you're going out into eternity. Live close to Him. Stay in the veil.

That's the hidden life

The constant Words of Jesus, "Fear not. I'm He that was dead, and is alive again, and alive forevermore. Fear not." Get that atmosphere around you. Get the atmosphere. "Now, he's Methodist. He's a Oneness. He's a Trinitarian. He's this or that." Get that out of your mind. "I love him. He's my brother." "She's a Catholic. She's a Protestant. She's a…" Get that out of your mind. Get an atmosphere around you. You'll never do it standing out on this other court. You got to come into Christ first, live in His Presence. The Bible said that, "He that overcometh, I'll give him a new name. I'll put My Spirit in him." Watch, there's an overcoming, first. You've got to overcome these things in order to be in Christ. There's where the church is failing in one place: overcoming, overcoming temperance—temper, overcoming difference, overcoming church prejudice, overcoming hatred. Many people tonight who shout and speak with tongues and run up-and-down the aisle, and hate their neighbor. That has… Brother, you're lost yet. That's hard to say, but that's the truth. Right. Overcome. You can only overcome when you… You say, "I'm eating manna, glory to God." Yes, but look what happens from one day to the other. You get the miss-meal cramps. Come on in where the manna's fresh all the time. Whether your neighbor treats you right or not, you'll love him anyhow. That's right. Whether he agrees with you or not, you love him anyhow. That's the way you got to do it. That's the hidden life. That's that consecrated life. That's that life that the veils of the worlds… And you're shut off from the things of the world. You only live in Christ. You see what I mean, church? I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I've got to stand with you at judgment someday. I'm responsible for not telling the truth, if I know It. That's right.

Don't wait another minute

Share
Are you real raging? Are you out of sorts? Do you doubt? Do you toss about? Do you wonder whether It's really right or not? When you come to Christ, do you come with a full assurance, a heart full of love? Do you walk up to Him without one fear, saying, "I know that He's my Father and there's no condemnation." You've passed from death unto Life. You know it, and you notice your life; you're loving, you're forgiving, you're gentle, you're peaceful, you're meek; all these fruits of the Spirit accompany your life day by day. And as soon as you do anything wrong, "Oh, my." Just as soon as it come to your mind you've done wrong, quickly you make it right, right then. Don't wait another minute; go right then and make it right. If you don't, well, you don't have the Spirit of Christ.
